The Crystal City (now called National Landing) (VA) Business Improvement District created "Art Walls" on buildings in order "to change how people see, perceive, and experience the area "and to "infuse color and character into the textures and surfaces of Crystal City." I have two installations.

 

The first, mounted in 2009 is entitled "Circles and Rings" and consists of two rows of seven images, each 5'x10' the Sheraton Hotel on Route 1.  The panels, 5' tall by 10' wide, are visible from the sidewalk, road, and surrounding buildings. The images were selected details from existing paintings chosen by the BID staff.

 

The second installation consists of 7 commissioned images for the 18th street plaza entrance/exit to Metro. Called Engage, the panels are 10'x10'.
