I make marks.
Big and little.
Thick and thin.
Dark and light.
Smooth, bumpy, square, round, curvy, and straight marks.
I draw inspiration from the things around me and imagery lodged in my memory and imagination. Turning these shapes and marks upside down and sideways, I build layers, and use color, line, shape, and plane changes to create an image that lets each viewer find references to his/her own experiences and ignite imagination.
